A 530mm rail wants roughly 600mm of clear wall and a 650mm rail roughly 700mm, so measure the gap between a door, a screen or a corner first. The 6 bar rails are the shorter ones. The 8 bar is noticeably taller in the same 650mm width, and is the one to fit if more than one bath towel goes on it.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eInstallation and ratings\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBathroom Butler rates its heated rails IPX5 and states they are certified for bathroom zones 1, 2 and 3, which includes above a bath. They use dry element heating with no fluid inside, and the maker states exposed surfaces stay below 55 degrees, tested to IEC 60335-1 and IEC 60335-2-43. You can mount one yourself using the supplied template and 700mm of cable, but in South Africa a registered electrical wireman must make the connection to the mains, through an isolator.
