Selecting the ideal bathroom basin
As the crowning glory of the bathroom vanity, basins contribute to the overall design aesthetic and unity of the bathroom, more often than not mirroring or presenting a variation of the bath shape. Colour also plays an important role with the basin reinforcing the bath or tile colours or serving as a means to create a contrasting effect.
Basins come in a variety of styles. Take a look at our blog to find out which basin is best for you.

Customization is also possible, with the basin being available in a choice of various colours in order to complement and accomodate theme and the style of a bathroom.

It makes a good choice for powder rooms and guest baths where storage is less important and space is limited. Their sleek, sophisticated lines can visually enlarge a room, while also enhancing its appearance. A mirror or bathroom cabinet is usually placed above the basin with ample lighting which can facilitate grooming.
Pedestal sinks come in a variety of styles and shapes, adding character and appeal to a bathroom.
Advantage | Disadvantage |
The pedestal area between the sink and the floor conceals the plumbing | Can limit storage space |
Streamlined appearance makes the bathroom space appear larger | The open space between the back of the pedestal and the wall can be challenging to clean |
Tips:
The pedestal basin provides an ideal solution if your waste pipe cannot be accommodated in the wall and needs to rather go through the floor.
