Elemental Bathroom Accessories

Elemental is the square design in this accessory line, built around straight edges and right angles rather than curves. Fourteen pieces are listed here out of the fifteen the maker publishes, all of them chrome. The set covers single and double towel rails, an open towel ring, single and double robe hooks, a paper holder and a spare roll holder, a toilet brush and holder, a glass tumbler and holder, a soap shelf, a shower and soap shelf, and a shower corner shelf.

Rail sizes and where they go

Both the single and the double rails are listed at 650mm and 800mm. The 800mm single is the one to fit if a bath towel is going on it, because a towel hung fully open dries far faster than one folded double over a short rail. The 650mm suits hand towels, a cloakroom or a narrow run of wall. The doubles carry two towels in the same wall width, which is usually the right answer in a bathroom two people share. Measure the clear wall run, not the rail, and leave room at both ends so a hanging towel is not jammed against a corner.

What the pieces are made of

Elemental accessories combine moulded zinc alloy parts with grade 304 stainless steel tubing under chrome plating, with the stainless steel used for wearing parts such as the horizontal rails. Fixing is by the Wonder-Mount system, a patented mounting designed to stop an accessory rotating or working loose over time. Plugs, screws, an allen key and a mounting template are supplied.

They mount to masonry, concrete and tiled walls with the supplied fixings, and to drywall where the fixing lands on a stud. Drill through ceramic tile with a diamond bit, check for pipework first, and set the positions out before tiling if the room is still being built.

Elemental or Lavish

Elemental and Lavish are the same items in two shapes. Elemental is square, Lavish is round, and the finish, the fixing system and the piece list are identical, so there is no functional difference to weigh up. Match the shape to your tapware and basin and stay in one range across the room. See the Bathroom Butler brand page, the round Lavish range, or every Bathroom Butler towel rail.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many pieces are in the Elemental range?
Fourteen Elemental products are listed at Bella Bathrooms, out of fifteen in the range as the maker publishes it. What is here covers the full working set for a bathroom: rails, a towel ring, robe hooks, a paper holder and spare roll holder, a toilet brush and holder, a tumbler and holder, and three shower and soap shelves. Everything listed is chrome.
What towel rail sizes does Elemental come in?
Single and double rails, each at 650mm and 800mm. Choose 800mm if a bath towel is going on the rail, because hanging a towel fully open rather than folded is what actually shortens drying time. The 650mm is better for hand towels, a guest cloakroom, or a short wall run. A double rail takes two towels in the same wall width as a single.
Is Elemental square or round?
Square. Elemental is the squared design in this line and Lavish is the round one. Beyond the geometry the two ranges are the same: same chrome finish, same items, same Wonder-Mount fixing system. If your basin mixer, shower rose and basin are angular, Elemental will look deliberate rather than accidental, which is the whole reason to pick one shape and hold it.
What are Elemental accessories made of?
Moulded zinc alloy parts combined with grade 304 stainless steel tubing, chrome plated. The stainless steel is used for the parts that take daily wear, such as the horizontal rails. It is a common construction for plated bathroom accessories and it is why the cleaning advice matters: the plating is the finish you are protecting, not the metal underneath it.
Can I fit Elemental accessories myself?
Yes, if you are comfortable drilling tile. Each piece comes with plugs, screws, an allen key and a mounting template, and the fixings supplied suit masonry, concrete and tile. Drywall works where the fixing catches a stud. Use a diamond bit through ceramic tile, check for pipework before drilling, and mark out the positions before the tiler finishes if the bathroom is still under construction.
