What IP rating do bathroom light fittings need?
Bathroom lighting is zoned according to proximity to water. Inside the shower or directly above the bath (Zone 1), you need at least IP65 rated fittings. The immediate surround within 600mm (Zone 2) needs IP44 minimum, suitable for most ceiling lights, wall sconces, and mirror lights. Outside that area, standard IP20 fittings are acceptable. Can your LED bathroom lights be dimmed?
