Bathroom Butler Glass Shelves
Bathroom Butler Glass Shelves
This is a small page and there is no point pretending otherwise: eight shelves, in two nominal sizes, from Bathroom Butler. Five are the 330, one from each of three series, two are 500s, and one is a chrome corner shelf from the Elemental range. If you are fitting out a basin wall that is usually enough, but if you came looking for a wide choice of finishes this is not where you will find it.
How the Shelf Is Actually Built
A pane of glass carried between two stainless side posts with round back plates, fixed on the brand's patented RIGID Loc double screw mounting, which is engineered so the fitting stays locked to the wall rather than loosening and needing to be nipped up again. The 4625 in the 4600 Series is specified with a 300mm tempered glass shelf in a fitting that measures 378mm wide, 130mm deep and 48mm high overall. The posts are Grade 304 stainless steel.
The glass is not bonded in. It lifts out of the posts, which means you can take it down and wash it properly instead of scrubbing around brackets, and Bathroom Butler notes that removing it is also how you customise the length. Tempered rather than ordinary glass is the detail that matters when the shelf sits above a basin at head height and gets loaded with bottles.
330 or 500
The 330 is the common one: the 4625, the 8525 in the 8500 Series and the 8225 in the 8200 Series, so whichever series the rest of your bathroom is in, there is a 330 to match it. The two 500s suit a wide basin or a double vanity where a 330 looks stranded. Remember that the stated size refers to the pane and the fitting sits wider, so measure the wall before ordering.
What This Page Does Not Have
Finish is the honest limitation. The stainless shelves come in polished and brushed only, and the single corner shelf is chrome, so there is no matt black or champagne gold glass shelf in the range at present. If your bathroom is in one of those finishes and you need open storage, the stainless racks on the shower caddies and soap dishes and baskets pages do cover them.
