Lavish Bathroom Accessories

Lavish is a fifteen piece accessory range and every item listed here is chrome. It is a round design, with soft curves on the hooks, the ring and the rail ends, so it suits a bathroom that already has round tapware or a curved basin. The range runs to single and double towel rails, an open towel ring, single and double robe hooks, a paper holder and a spare roll holder, a toilet brush and holder, a glass tumbler and holder, a soap shelf, a shower and soap shelf, and a shower corner shelf. That is the complete set as the maker publishes it, so a whole bathroom can be fitted out from one range.

Choosing rail sizes

The single rails are listed at 404mm, 625mm and 800mm, the doubles at 625mm and 775mm. Size to the wall run rather than the towel, and leave clearance at both ends so a hung towel is not pressed into a corner or a door architrave. An 800mm single lets a bath towel hang fully open, which does more for drying time than anything else. The 404mm is the one for a guest cloakroom or the short wall between a basin and a shower door. Where two people share, a double rail carries two towels in the width of one.

How Lavish is built and fixed

Lavish accessories combine moulded zinc alloy parts with grade 304 stainless steel tubing under chrome plating, with the stainless steel used for wearing parts such as the horizontal rails. They fix using the Wonder-Mount system, a patented fixing designed to stop an accessory rotating or working loose on its mounting. Plugs, screws, an allen key and a mounting template are supplied.

They suit masonry, concrete and tiled walls using the supplied fixings, and drywall where the fixing lands on a stud. Check for pipework before drilling. If the room is still being tiled, set out the fixing positions before the tiler starts, because moving one later means lifting a tile.

Lavish or Elemental

Lavish and Elemental are the same set of pieces in two shapes. Elemental is the square version, Lavish the round one, and past the geometry there is genuinely nothing between them: same chrome finish, same fixing system, same items. Choose the one that matches your tapware and stay in it. See the Bathroom Butler brand page, the square Elemental range, or every Bathroom Butler towel rail.

Frequently Asked Questions

What finish does the Lavish range come in?
Chrome, and only chrome. All fifteen Lavish pieces listed at Bella Bathrooms are chrome plated, so pieces bought at different times still match. Under the plating the bodies are moulded zinc alloy with grade 304 stainless steel used for the tubing and the wearing parts. If you need matt black or a brushed finish, look at a different range in the Bathroom Butler catalogue rather than mixing two ranges in one room.
What towel rail sizes are in the Lavish range?
Single rails are listed at 404mm, 625mm and 800mm, and double rails at 625mm and 775mm. Measure the clear wall run, not the towel. An 800mm single takes a bath towel hung fully open, which is what actually speeds up drying. The 404mm single suits a cloakroom or a narrow gap between a basin and a shower door. A double rail carries two towels in the wall width of one.
What is the difference between Lavish and Elemental?
Shape, and only shape. Elemental is built on the square and Lavish is the round design. The two ranges carry the same items, the same chrome finish and the same Wonder-Mount fixing system, so the choice comes down to which one sits better with your tapware and basin. Square taps and a rectangular basin point to Elemental. Round taps and a curved basin point to Lavish.
Can Lavish accessories be fitted onto tiles?
Yes. The supplied fixings cover masonry, concrete and tiled surfaces, and drywall is fine where the fixing can land on a stud. Use a 6mm diamond bit through ceramic tile and a masonry bit behind it, and check for pipework before you drill. If the bathroom is still being built, mark the positions before tiling starts so a fixing never has to be moved through a finished tile.
How do I clean chrome bathroom accessories?
Warm water, a drop of mild soap and a soft cloth, then buff dry with a microfibre cloth to stop water spotting. Drying after cleaning matters more than the cleaner you use. Keep abrasive creams, scouring pads and acidic or chlorine-based bathroom cleaners away from the plating, because those are what dull chrome and leave marks that will not polish out.
