Bathroom Butler Towel Rails
This is the unheated side of the Bathroom Butler range: wall mounted stainless steel towel rails in single and double form, plus a small group of ladder rails. Single or double
A single rail carries one bar. It is the right fitting beside a basin, in a cloakroom, or anywhere the wall is shallow and you do not want something projecting into the room. A double rail carries two bars, one above the other, on the same wall footprint, which roughly doubles the hanging length without taking more wall. Double is the usual answer for a main bathroom shared by two people: two bath towels on separate bars dry properly, whereas two crowded onto one bar do not.
Ladder rails sit between the two. These are multi bar frames: four or six bars over a 500mm width in Unity, and a taller six bar round profile in Felicity. They suit a bathroom where towels are changed often. There is also one freestanding double towel stand where wall fixing is not an option.
Sizes, and reading the model numbers
Most of the range is 430mm, 650mm, 800mm or 1100mm wide, with 450mm, 500mm, 900mm and 950mm on individual models. 430mm is the hand towel size, 650mm and 800mm cover most bathrooms, and 1100mm suits a long wall or the side of a bath. In the numbered series the code carries both facts: across the 4600, 8200 and 8500 series a third digit of 7 means single and 8 double, and the final digit is the width, 0 for 430mm, 2 for 650mm, 5 for 800mm, 8 for 1100mm. A 4675 is an 800mm single, a 4685 the 800mm double.
Finishes and ranges
Finishes are polished stainless steel, brushed stainless steel, matt black, chrome and champagne gold, with matt black running through the 4600 and 8500 series, Felicity and Integrity. The numbered series, 4600, 8200, 8500 and 9100, are the plainer option with the widest choice of widths. The named ranges, Felicity, Integrity, Unity, Lavish and Elemental, each carry a defined profile and are worth choosing when matching a rail to other accessories in the same style.
