Blutide Spring Tide
Blutide Spring Tide and Spring Black
Twenty products sit here under two different names. Eleven titles begin Spring Tide and nine begin Spring Black, and the line ups mirror each other almost item for item: concealed diverter and concealed shower mixers, wall type bath mixers, square freestanding bath mixers with a hand shower, wall type concealed basin mixers with a spout, short and tall basin mixers, and one hole sink mixers for the kitchen. The catalogue does not state how the two names relate, so this page shows both.
Where the two differ
Three items break the mirror. Spring Tide adds a wall type sink mixer and a bidet mixer supplied with a pop up waste. Spring Black adds a third short basin size. The only title naming chrome is the Spring Tide square freestanding mixer. The nine Spring Black items are the ones to look at if the rest of the room is black, and they sit with the brand's other black fittings on Blutide Black.
Basin mixer sizes
Four short basin mixers are listed, at 65mm and 80mm under Spring Black and at 65mm and standard under Spring Tide, against tall bodies at 210mm and a high basin mixer. Short bodies suit an inset or semi recessed basin, where the rim sits close to the counter. A taller body is what you want over a counter top bowl, so the spout clears the rim. Check the figure on the product page against your basin first.
The bidet mixer and pop up waste
One bidet mixer is listed, under Spring Tide, and it comes with a pop up waste. A pop up waste is the plughole fitting with a stopper worked by a rod behind the tap rather than a loose plug on a chain. Pull the rod up and the stopper drops to hold water, push it down and it lifts to drain. Wastes come slotted for a fixture with an overflow and unslotted for one without, so match the waste to the bidet.
The concealed items follow the rest of the brand. The valve body is chased into the wall at first fix and only the handle and plate show, and the diverter versions add a second control that switches between two outlets. Fix those positions before tiling. See the full shower mixers and basin mixers, compare the Shore and Moon lines, or go back to Blutide.
