Bath Taps

What is the difference between a pillar tap and a bib tap?
A pillar tap mounts vertically through a basin or a deck and delivers one temperature, so a basin needs two of them, one hot and one cold. A bib tap comes horizontally out of a wall and is normally used over a sink, a tub or outdoors. Blutide lists both at 15 mm in the Crimson, Neap and Rip ranges, with extended versions of the bib tap for a deeper wall.
