Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between basic mirrors and LED mirrors?
Basic mirrors are plain reflective glass without integrated lighting, demister pads or touch controls. They rely on ambient bathroom lighting (downlights, sconces, the cabinet light above) to deliver illumination at the vanity. The advantage is a cleaner look, no electrical work required and a significantly lower price point. The trade-off is that grooming under low ambient light is harder, and the mirror will fog up in steam. If you want demister or built-in task lighting, choose the LED mirror cabinet range instead.
What sizes are available and how do I choose the right one?
This collection spans 600mm through 1200mm wide, covering most vanity widths from single basin to double. The mirror should be roughly the same width as the vanity below it, never wider, and should leave at least 200mm clearance between the top of the basin tap and the bottom of the mirror. The Zen series adds a small functional shelf at the base, useful for a soap dispenser or toothbrush holder. Bring your vanity dimensions to Kramerville for a side-by-side check.
How are basic mirrors fixed to the wall?
The mirrors hang from concealed mounting brackets fixed to the wall with rawl plugs and screws sized for the mirror weight. The fixing kit is supplied. For solid masonry walls (common in South African homes), standard plugs work; for drywall or partition walls, your installer will need toggle anchors rated for the mirror weight. The frame conceals the bracket once hung. We recommend a competent handyman or your bathroom installer rather than DIY, particularly for the larger 1000mm and 1200mm pieces.
