Franke Waste Kits, Overflow Kits and Plumbing
Nobody browses this page for pleasure. You are here because a waste is leaking, a bowl arrived without a fitting, or a plumber has asked for the right kit before he comes back. Franke waste kits are model specific, so getting the code right the first time saves a second trip. Everything here is Franke, and most of it exists to make a Franke sink or a Zip unit work.
Matching a waste kit to your sink
The product titles carry the model code, and that is the fastest way to buy correctly. The Maris MRG610 90mm waste kit with overflow is cut for the MRG610 bowls, the 370, 520 and 720 among them. The Maris 621 kit suits the larger MRG621 bowls at 1160mm. A slotted 90mm overflow waste is listed for prep bowls, which is the version you want where the bowl has an overflow slot rather than a round hole.
Where a title carries no model, check the fitting itself. Franke's own South African listing for its 90mm designer basket strainer waste names it suitable for GSX, CDX, QLX, RDX610-48 NOF and RDX610-45, covering the Cascade, Quinline and Rondo stainless ranges. The Spazio and Spazi kits are Franke's plumbing kit line, and their titles state the outlet sizes, so match those to the trap under your counter.
90mm and 38mm are not the same thing
These two numbers cause most of the wrong orders. The 90mm figure is the diameter of the basket strainer waste that seats in the sink's outlet hole, and it is the standard across Franke's kitchen sinks and granite prep bowls. Franke's spec sheet for the Rondo ROG610-41 prep bowl lists a 90mm waste. The 38mm PVC waste and plug is a separate, much smaller fitting. It will not fill a 90mm sink outlet, so the two are not alternatives. Measure the hole in your bowl before ordering.
Tap braces, brackets and Zip fittings
The tap brace for a kitchen mixer stabilises a tap where the mounting surface is thin or the tap hole is wider than the shank, the usual cause of a wobbling mixer. Falcon brackets mount a Luxtub wash trough to a wall. For Zip equipment there is a food grade CO2 regulator kit, a bubbler kit for a chiller, a set of three silicon hoses for the G4 HydroTap and a font tap extension.
