Geberit Concealed Cisterns

Every Geberit cistern Bella Bathrooms stocks sits on this page: concealed cisterns on their own, complete Duofix and Kombifix elements with the cistern already fitted, exposed and close-coupled cisterns for standard pans, and the Monolith sanitary modules. The cistern is the part of the bathroom you never look at and cannot easily reach, which is why it is the wrong place to save money. Geberit tests these units through at least 200,000 flush and refill cycles before they go on sale.

Sigma, Omega and Alpha Concealed Cisterns

Sigma and Alpha concealed cisterns come in 8 cm and 12 cm depths, and Omega in 12 cm, with a factory dual flush setting of 6 and 3 litres that a plumber can adjust down at commissioning. The bodies are insulated against condensation and include an integrated angle stop valve, so the water supply can be isolated without opening the wall. Omega and Alpha cisterns accept actuation from the front or the top, which is what makes the low 82 cm and 98 cm Omega installation heights possible under a window or a shelf. Your flush plate must come from the same family as the cistern.

Duofix and Kombifix Elements

A bare cistern still needs something to hold the pan. Geberit Duofix elements are statically self-supporting frames for drywall and prewall construction, supplied at 82, 98, 112 and 114 cm. Kombifix elements do the same job in solid construction: the element is fixed to the masonry at four points, the inlets and drain are connected, and the surrounding holes are bricked in.

Exposed, Close-Coupled and Monolith Alternatives

Not every bathroom suits a hidden cistern. The AP110, AP116, AP117, AP123 and AP128 exposed cisterns are wall-mounted units with dual flush, Stop and Go or draw chain actuation and a choice of rear or bottom water supply. Selnova, Selnova Square, Smyle Square and iCon close-coupled cisterns pair with their matching pans in lateral or bottom supply versions.

Monolith and Monolith Plus sanitary modules are the middle path: a slim glass-fronted module in white, black, lava or sand grey that carries the cistern and connections without any building work, for wall-hung, floor-standing and bidet installations. See the full Geberit range for the pans, seats and plates that go with these cisterns.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a Geberit concealed cistern cost in South Africa?
It depends on what you are actually buying. A concealed cistern on its own sits at the bottom of the range, a complete Duofix or Kombifix element with the cistern built in costs more because you get the frame and fixings, and the flush plate is priced separately on top. Current prices for every option are shown on the product pages in this collection. Our Kramerville team will price a full installation package if you send through your drawings.
What is the difference between a Duofix and a Kombifix element?
Both hold the cistern and the pan, but they suit different walls. Duofix elements are statically self-supporting frames made for drywall and prewall construction, so they carry the load themselves. Kombifix elements are made for solid construction: the element is fixed to masonry at four points, the inlets and drain are connected, and the holes around it are bricked in. Choose by wall type, not by preference.
Which flush plate fits a Geberit concealed cistern?
The plate must match the cistern family. Sigma plates fit Sigma cisterns, Omega plates fit Omega cisterns and Alpha plates fit Alpha cisterns, because the actuator rods and mounting frames differ between families. The cistern depth matters too, since Sigma and Alpha are made in both 8 cm and 12 cm versions. If you are replacing a plate on an existing installation, take the old one off and check the branding on the protection box first.
How do I connect the WC pan to a concealed cistern?
A wall-hung pan is joined to the cistern by a flush pipe or flush bend and sealed with a connection set sized to the cistern and the pan projection, with the waste running into the element's drain bend. What is included differs between a bare cistern and a complete Duofix or Kombifix element, so check the product page for your item and ask us to confirm the connection set before your plumber starts first fix.
Can a concealed cistern be serviced once the wall is tiled?
Yes, and this is the point of the Geberit design. Taking the flush plate off opens the service aperture and gives direct access to the fill valve and flush valve, so a plumber can replace the working parts without touching a tile. The cistern body itself is not intended to be removed once built in, which is why the serviceable components are all reachable from the front through that same opening.
