Geberit Smyle Range

Smyle is the range Geberit built to be bought as a set. Almost everything here is Smyle Square, and the point of it is that the cabinet is drawn to follow the contour of the basin sitting on it, so the ceramic and the furniture read as one piece rather than two purchases. Geberit describes the design as contemporary, uncomplicated and timeless, aimed at family and guest bathrooms. It is not a statement range, but it is the cheapest route to a Geberit bathroom that looks deliberately put together.

Washbasins and Matching Cabinetry

Furniture is the biggest part of this collection, which surprises people expecting a ceramics range. Alongside the basins sit washbasin cabinets, handrinse cabinets, low and medium cabinets, side cabinets and a wall shelf, in the four Geberit finishes: high-gloss white, high-gloss sand grey, matt lava and hickory wood-textured melamine. Carcasses are moisture-resistant, high-compressed three-layer chipboard. Basins run from handrinse size through 550, 650, 750 and 900 mm to 1200 mm, including double basins, with a centred tap hole, left and right tap holes, or none.

Rimfree WCs, Seats and Cisterns

The sanitaryware side is smaller but complete enough to finish a room. The wall-hung, back-to-wall and close-coupled Smyle Square WCs are washdown and Rimfree, so there is no concealed rim channel for soil to collect in, and the wall-hung sets are shrouded with the seat included. Seats also sell separately, in slim and sandwich profiles, standard or soft-close, with quick-release hinges. Exposed cisterns come with lateral or bottom supply, and there are two urinals, one waterless.

Where Smyle Sits Between Selnova and Xeno2

Smyle is the middle of the three. Selnova is broader and cheaper but carries almost no furniture. Xeno2 is the design range, with wider basins and handle-free cabinets at a higher price. Smyle gives you the matched look without that premium. Compare it against our wider Geberit vanity units and Geberit basins, or the full Geberit catalogue.

The finishes are worth seeing in person, since hickory and lava photograph differently to how they look under bathroom lighting. Samples are at our Kramerville showroom.

Frequently Asked Questions

What finishes does Geberit Smyle furniture come in?
Four. High-gloss white, high-gloss sand grey, matt lava and hickory, which is a wood-textured melamine rather than real timber. White and sand grey are the safe choices in a small or north-facing bathroom because the gloss bounces light. Lava is a deep matt grey that reads almost black in low light, and hickory is the warm option that softens an all-white ceramic scheme. The carcasses underneath are the same in every finish: moisture-resistant, high-compressed three-layer chipboard.
Do Smyle basins and Smyle cabinets have to be bought together?
They do not have to be, but they are designed to be. The cabinet widths are drawn to the basin sizes and the cabinet edge follows the contour of the ceramic above it, which is the whole reason the range exists. Buying a Smyle basin and pairing it with a cabinet from another brand will usually work dimensionally but you lose the flush line where the two meet. If you are mixing, bring both product codes to us and we will check the overhang before you order.
Are Smyle Square toilets rimless?
Yes, the Smyle Square WCs in this range are Rimfree, which is Geberit's name for a pan with no concealed rim channel. Water is directed around the bowl by the shape of the ceramic instead of running through a hidden cavity, so there is nowhere for soil and limescale to build up out of sight and the bowl can be cleaned in a single pass. That matters most in a family bathroom. The wall-hung sets are also shrouded, so the fixings and pan underside are closed off.
What is the difference between a slim seat and a sandwich seat?
It is the profile of the lid and ring. A slim seat has a thin, flat section that sits tight to the pan for a cleaner modern line, and it suits the Smyle Square wall-hung pans. A sandwich seat is the thicker traditional profile with a shaped underside, which is more forgiving in daily use and slightly more comfortable. Both are offered in standard and soft-close versions, and most in this range have quick-release hinges so the seat lifts off for cleaning.
Can I use a Smyle wall-hung WC with a concealed cistern?
Yes, and you will have to. A wall-hung pan has no cistern of its own, so it hangs off a concealed frame with the cistern built into the wall or a prewall, and it is actuated by a flush plate. Browse our Geberit concealed cisterns to pick the frame, and remember the frame type differs between drywall and masonry construction. Tell your plumber which you have before ordering, because getting the rough-in depth wrong is the most common and most expensive mistake on this installation.
