Gio Bella Black
Gio Bella Black
Eighty one Gio products are stocked in black, the only finish in the range with real depth behind it. White follows on 23 titles, then chrome 17, stainless 12, brushed nickel 10, gold 10 and gunmetal 7. Black reaches 33 of the 46 categories, so most of a bathroom can be done in it, but not all, and the gaps are worth knowing first. The range trades as Gio and as Gio Plumbing. The whole of it sits on Gio Bella.
Where Black Runs Deep
Plumbing and wastes is the strongest block at 23 items: shower channels and traps, basin and bath wastes, wall spouts and outlets. Tapware follows on 17, covering short and tall basin mixers, kitchen mixers, freestanding and wall type bath mixers, concealed diverters and a bidet mixer. Showering adds 16 across arms, roses, handshowers and a hose, ceramics 8, including five countertop basins and three toilets. Start with Gio taps and shower heads.
Four ranges reach black. Malta carries 12 and is the only one covering both tapware and accessories, the safest pick for a whole room. Demola also carries 12 but is accessories only, and is the more complete suite of the two. Genova has 6 and Torino 2, both tapware. The other 45 items carry no range name, normal for wastes, traps, spouts and heads.
Where There Is No Black
Furniture is the hard stop. None of the 26 Gio vanities and none of the 15 mirrors are made in black, so a black scheme means black tapware against a white, oak or cement cabinet. Accessories are thinner than they look: only 17 of the 81 items are accessories, and there is no black soap basket, the one hole in the Demola suite. Trigger spray taps and urinals have none either.
Keeping One Black Across a Room
The product title is the only reliable check, and it is not written consistently. Fifty two read Black, twenty five Matt Black, three Matte Black, and one basin waste reads Gunmetal Black, a different finish that will not match. Since taps, wastes and accessories are separate lines, work outward from the mixer to the visible waste or trap, then the outlet, then the accessories, and order them together rather than months apart. Those sit on Gio bathroom accessories.
