Gio Genova Taps and Mixers
Genova is a tap range, not an accessory set. All thirteen products are mixers: two kitchen mixers, two concealed diverter mixers, two concealed shower and bath mixers, two freestanding bath mixers, two tall basin mixers, two short basin mixers and one wall mounted bath mixer with an oval body. There are no towel rails, hooks or holders in it. Gio names its ranges after Italian places, and this one sits with Malta and Torino on the tap side of the catalogue.
Almost everything comes as a black and a chrome pair
Six of the thirteen name black in the title, two name chrome and five state none. Six of the seven fittings are listed twice, once black and once in the standard finish, so a black bathroom can be specified almost entirely within Genova. Only the oval wall mounted bath mixer stands alone, with no black partner. Check the product page for the exact finish on the five that do not name one.
Concealed diverters and concealed shower mixers
Four of the thirteen are concealed, meaning the valve body is built into the wall and only the plate and handle show. A diverter sends water to one outlet or the other, typically an overhead rose and a hand shower, or a bath spout and a shower. Basin mixers, tall and short
Genova lists both heights. A short basin mixer suits a standard drop in or built in basin, where the spout only has to clear the rim. A tall basin mixer is for a countertop basin sitting on the vanity top, where a short spout would pour against the bowl wall instead of into it. Measure from the tap hole to the basin rim before choosing: that dimension decides it, not the look.
