A thermostat is the least glamorous part of a shower and the one you're most grateful for every morning. Ecostat is hansgrohe's core thermostat range — engineered to do three things brilliantly: keep the temperature exactly where you set it, keep everyone safe from scalding, and save water while it's at it. It spans everything from a straightforward value mixer to a flat, designer concealed thermostat, so there's an Ecostat for every bathroom and every budget.

Constant temperature, every time

At the heart of every Ecostat is a thermostatic cartridge that continuously monitors the water and reacts instantly to changes in pressure. When someone opens a tap or flushes a toilet elsewhere in the house, the shower doesn't lurch hot or cold — the temperature you dialled in stays put. That's the everyday comfort that makes a thermostat worth having.

Water-saving by design

The "Eco" in Ecostat is real. Many models feature the EcoStop function: in its normal position the thermostat caps the flow at around 10 l/min, and if you want more water, you simply press the EcoStop button to release the full flow. It's a small, deliberate nudge that saves water and the energy to heat it — day after day, across every bathroom in a home or a project. In a water-conscious market, that adds up.

Safety for the whole family

Ecostat takes safety seriously. SafetyStop sets a safety lock at 40°C with adjustable temperature limitation, so hotter water is only released when you deliberately press past it — real protection for children. On models like the Ecostat E, CoolContact technology routes cold water to the surface of the mixer so the housing stays cool to the touch, removing the risk of a hot valve body. And the Ecostat Comfort Care version adds an extended operating lever that's easy for all generations to use.

Exposed or concealed — your choice

• Exposed Ecostat (such as the Ecostat 1001 CL and Ecostat Comfort) mounts on the wall and screws onto standard connections — quick to install, easy to service, and kind to the budget. It's an ideal renovation choice, since it fits existing shower connections without opening the wall.
• Concealed Ecostat Comfort is a flat, minimalist finish set that mounts on a hidden iBox Universal base set, so only the slim control shows. Choose from three purist shapes — E (square), S (round) and Q (soft-square) — to control one or two outlets.

A thermostat for every budget

Ecostat gives you a clear ladder of choice: the Ecostat 1001 CL is the dependable, value exposed thermostat with ergonomic wing handles you can work with soapy fingers; the Ecostat Comfort adds refinement in both exposed and concealed forms; and the concealed Ecostat Comfort E/S/Q brings designer shapes and colour to the built-in shower. It's the range that lets you match the control to the project spec, not the other way around.

Finishes

Exposed Ecostat models are typically finished in Chrome, while the concealed Ecostat Comfort is available in Chrome and the FinishPlus range — including Matt Black and Matt White — to coordinate with your taps and shower. FinishPlus surfaces are PVD-coated and reproducible for up to 15 years.
