Hansgrohe Rainmaker Showers
Why choose Hansgrohe Rainmaker
Rainmaker Select is the statement piece of the hansgrohe shower range — among the greatest rain showers the brand makes. Where other overheads impress, Rainmaker commands: an oversized spray disc up to 580 mm across, framed in slim chrome, delivering a tropical downpour that envelops the whole body. It's the overhead architects and designers reach for when a bathroom, wellness suite or hospitality shower needs a genuine "wow".
XXL — and then some
Rainmaker is built around scale. The Rainmaker Select heads span up to 580 mm, and the ceiling-integrated Raindance Rainmaker stretches to a 680 mm area — generous enough to shower as a couple, with rotating massage sprays. This is XXL Performance at its fullest: water over a huge area, so you stand in the rain rather than under a spout.
The Rainmaker range
- Rainmaker Select 460 — a 460 mm head (466 × 300 mm), mounted on the ceiling or on a wall via a shower arm, with an angle-adjustable ball joint. Available as 1-, 2- or 3-jet, including EcoSmart 9 l/min versions.
- Rainmaker Select 580 — the largest wall-mounted head (586 × 258 mm), for maximum presence and coverage.
- Raindance Rainmaker — the ceiling-integrated flagship, up to 680 mm, for a shared, spa-scale experience.
Three ways to shower
Rainmaker Select offers up to three spray modes, selected via the ShowerSelect thermostat:
- Rain XL — a soft, all-enveloping tropical rain across the full disc.
- RainFlow — a wide, waterfall-like gush spray that cascades over you.
- Mono — a focused, crystal-clear jet that loosens tense muscles.
A design object, not just a shower
Rainmaker is award-winning industrial design. A slender chrome frame surrounds a premium spray disc in a glass look — radiant white or elegant black — that reads as a piece of the architecture rather than a fitting. It looks as considered switched off as it does running.
How Rainmaker installs
This is the part worth planning early: Rainmaker is an overhead shower head, not a complete shower system. The technology sits in the wall on a concealed base set, and the water and sprays are controlled by a separate concealed ShowerSelect thermostat (the version with an integrated shelf is a natural match). The supply runs neatly under plaster with no exposed riser, and in many cases a Rainmaker can be attached to existing connections — so an XXL upgrade needn't mean a full re-plumb. To complete the shower you'll typically specify: the Rainmaker head, a ShowerSelect thermostat, an iBox base, and a coordinating hand shower.
Water-saving and easy to keep
Even at this scale, Rainmaker can be efficient: EcoSmart versions run on around 9 l/min. And cleaning is simple — undo a screw, lift off the spray disc, and QuickClean silicone nozzles wipe clean of limescale in seconds.
Finishes
Rainmaker's signature look is a chrome frame with a glass-effect spray disc in White/Chrome or Black/Chrome — a deliberately architectural finish rather than the coloured FinishPlus surfaces used elsewhere in the range.
