Hansgrohe ShowerSelect
Why choose Hansgrohe ShowerSelect
A great shower usually has more than one outlet — a rain head, a hand shower, maybe body jets — and ShowerSelect is what makes juggling them effortless. Instead of fiddly diverters, you get large, tactile Select buttons: one press to turn a spray on or off, one press to switch outlets. The thermostat holds your temperature steady the whole time, and all the working parts disappear behind the wall, leaving only a slim, beautifully made control on show.
One button, your whole shower
The Select principle is simple and addictive. With a single press you can:
- start or stop the water precisely, at your set temperature;
- switch from the overhead shower to the hand shower;
- change the spray mode.
Depending on the model, ShowerSelect controls one, two or more outlets — up to four in a fully specified shower — so even an elaborate setup stays intuitive for everyone in the house.
ShowerSelect Comfort — flat, floating design
The current ShowerSelect Comfort concealed thermostats are as much about design as control. The regulators are 40% flatter than previous hansgrohe prefab sets — freeing up room in the shower — and the flat Select buttons sit in a fine "shadow gap" so they appear to float on the wall. Buttons and handles are metal for a premium feel, and the whole unit is exceptionally quiet (Acoustic Group 1). Choose from three purist shapes to match your scheme: E (angular), S (round) and Q (soft-square).
Thermostatic comfort and safety
Underneath the design is a proper thermostat. It continuously monitors the water and reacts instantly to pressure changes, holding a constant, comfortable temperature — no surprise cold or hot bursts when a tap runs elsewhere. A SafetyStop at 40°C with adjustable temperature limitation makes it reassuring for children and shared bathrooms, and a control dial lets you fine-tune the flow to save water every day. Selected versions also include an integrated backflow safety combination (EN 1717).
Concealed or exposed — your choice
- Concealed (ShowerSelect Comfort): the thermostat mounts on a hidden iBox Universal base set in the wall, so only the slim control shows. This is the built-in, architectural look.
- Exposed (ShowerTablet Select): a wall-mounted control with an integrated glass shelf and the same one-touch Select convenience — no need to open the wall, which makes it ideal for renovations and quick upgrades.
Finishes
ShowerSelect Comfort comes in Chrome and the full FinishPlus range — Matt Black, Matt White, Brushed Black Chrome and Brushed Bronze — so the control coordinates with your taps, shower and accessories. FinishPlus surfaces are PVD-coated and reproducible for up to 15 years.
How it fits together
ShowerSelect is the control in the middle of a concealed shower, so it's worth seeing the whole picture: the iBox Universal base set goes in the wall, the ShowerSelect thermostat mounts on it and controls the water, and the shower heads (an overhead like Rainfinity or Rainmaker, plus a hand shower) are the outlets it switches between. For a concealed shower you'll typically specify all three, matched to the number of outlets — which is exactly where our team helps.
