Four Rossco pieces sit in this collection, and it is worth being precise about what they are. One is a traditional pedestal basin, one is a console basin that stands on its own legs, and two are solid oak stands built to carry a butler sink. What they share is a support that reaches the floor rather than a bracket hidden in the wall. Prices run from R5,944 to R17,832.
What is on this page
The Old Style Wall Mounted Basin and Pedestal is the classic form, a polished white ceramic basin measuring 620 x 530 x 850mm paired with a pedestal that carries the weight and conceals the trap and pipework. The Tesoro Console Wash Basin is a different proposition, an 840mm basin top supported on two shaped legs that reach the floor, leaving the space beneath it open. Rossco's own catalogue lists console basins alongside its pillar basins and does not use the word pedestal for them.
Pedestal, pillar and freestanding
These terms are used loosely across the industry, so here is how they separate on this site. A pedestal basin is two components, a basin and a matching column beneath it. A pillar or freestanding basin is a single continuous piece, moulded so that the bowl and the column are one form, such as the Turino at 510 x 325 x 880mm. Rossco calls that second group Pillar Basins, and here they sit in Rossco freestanding basins.
The two oak stands
The Solid Oak Stands for Butler are open timber frames, not basins. They are supplied without a bowl and are sized to sit beneath a butler sink, at 800 x 425mm and 600 x 400mm. If you are pairing one with a bowl, the sinks themselves are in Rossco butler sinks. Check the individual product page for the material, colour and finish recorded against each item, as these are not consistent across the four.
The figures on each product page are the ones to plan tap positions and waste runs from, and it is worth confirming them against the piece before you commit to a layout.
