Geberit Acanto Ceramics and Furniture

Acanto is a complete Geberit bathroom series, which Geberit describes as combining clear design with organic shapes and smart detailed solutions. In practice that means softly rounded ceramics and matching storage meant to be specified together rather than assembled from separate ranges. Bella Bathrooms in Kramerville, Johannesburg carries the Acanto WCs, bidet, washbasins, seats and furniture here.

TurboFlush Explained

TurboFlush is the flush technology most people come to Acanto for, and it is a real engineering change, not a badge. The pan has an asymmetrical inner geometry with two guiding edges. Water enters from the side rather than from a rim above, then spirals through the bowl in a powerful vortex and glides almost silently across the inner surface. Geberit rates the flushing performance at up to ten times better than DIN EN 997:2018 requires, and says the complete WC system is up to 30 per cent quieter than other solutions.

What Is Actually in the Range

Not every Acanto WC is a TurboFlush model, so read the product titles. This collection holds wall-hung WC sets in washdown, shrouded, TurboFlush form supplied with a seat, a wall-hung washdown Rimfree WC, a floor-standing washdown WC, a shrouded wall-hung bidet at 51 cm, a 1200 mm double washbasin with a centre tap hole, shelf-surface basins with and without a tap hole, soft-close seats, a low cabinet with drawer, and a magnetic board with storage boxes.

Finishes and Fitting

Geberit builds the Acanto furniture from moisture-resistant, high-compressed three-layer chipboard, with finishes running from white high gloss through lava, sand grey and black matt coatings to mystic oak wood and glass fronts. On the fitting side the WC uses Geberit's Easy Fast Fixing technology with a steel support, and the seats use QuickRelease so they lift off for cleaning.

Acanto suits a bathroom where the ceramics are meant to look soft rather than sharp, which is the main point of difference from the more angular Geberit ranges. See it at our Kramerville showroom, or compare with the wider Geberit wall hung toilets, the Rimfree toilets, basins and vanity units, or the full Geberit range.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Geberit TurboFlush and how does it work?
TurboFlush is Geberit's rimless flush technology. The pan has an asymmetrical inner geometry with two guiding edges, and the water enters from the side instead of running out from under a rim. That sends it spiralling through the bowl as a powerful vortex which glides across the inner surface. Geberit rates the flushing performance at up to ten times better than the DIN EN 997:2018 standard requires.
Is the Geberit Acanto wall hung toilet a TurboFlush model?
Some are and some are not, so check the product title before ordering. This collection holds Acanto wall-hung WC sets described as washdown, shrouded, TurboFlush and supplied with a WC seat, and separately a wall-hung washdown Rimfree Acanto WC, plus a floor-standing washdown model. Only the models whose title says TurboFlush use the vortex geometry described above, so match the title to what you are quoting on.
Is a TurboFlush toilet quieter than a normal one?
Geberit says so. Because the flush openings sit at the side and the water glides around the bowl rather than falling from a rim, Geberit states the flush is up to 30 per cent quieter than other solutions when the complete Geberit WC system is used, meaning the pan, cistern and actuator plate together. Acanto has also been noted for low noise levels in independent testing. It is worth hearing in a showroom.
What does the Geberit Acanto range include besides toilets?
More than most people expect from a WC-led range. This collection carries a shrouded wall-hung bidet at 51 cm, a 1200 mm double washbasin with a centre tap hole, shelf-surface basins available with or without a tap hole, soft-close WC seats sold on their own, a low cabinet with a drawer and internal drawer, and a magnetic board with storage boxes for keeping small items off the basin.
What finishes does Geberit Acanto furniture come in?
Geberit offers Acanto furniture in white high gloss, matt coatings in lava, sand grey and black, mystic oak wood surfaces, and glass fronts in white, sand grey, lava and black. The carcasses use moisture-resistant, high-compressed three-layer chipboard, which is the detail that matters in a room that gets steamed daily. Stock finishes vary, so confirm availability with our showroom before specifying.
