Thirty three Rossco pieces carry black in the title, and the finish reaches further across the range than any single product type. It covers countertop basins, freestanding baths, pillar basins, wall-hung and under-counter bowls, butler sinks and basin mixers, so this page cuts across categories rather than sitting inside one. Matt, Gloss and Polished
Nineteen of the thirty three carry a recorded finish, splitting eight matt, seven polished and four gloss. Every matt piece is a basin, and the two baths with a finish recorded are both polished. One bath, the Cube at 1800x800x600mm, is described in its own title as a gloss inner with a matt black outer. Fourteen carry no finish value at all, so judge those from the photography or ask us to confirm before committing a room to one sheen.
Where the Black Runs Deepest
Countertop basins are the strongest block, with thirteen of the seventy seven in Rossco countertop basins finished black. Baths follow: seven of the twenty two freestanding baths, among them the Tania at 1590x780x470mm and the Mieke at 1610x710x525mm. After that the numbers thin quickly, to three of eight freestanding pillar basins, two of twenty one wall-mounted, two of nineteen under-counter and two of twenty five butler sinks.
Composite is the material behind most of it, recorded on nineteen pieces, alongside two ceramic and two copper. Ten carry no material value. The two-tone pieces are worth seeing in person: the Copper and Black Double Skin basins set a polished copper bowl inside a black outer shell, and a brass lined version is listed at 330x330mm. The Turino basin at 490x355x130mm is finished in black and white.
Taps and the Alternative
Three of the nine Rossco taps are black, two short basin mixers and one tall, and they sit with the rest in Rossco basin and shower taps. For the same weight without the colour, the thirteen concrete basins and baths carry comparable depth in a warmer grey. Sheen is hard to read on a screen, which is what the Kramerville showroom is for.
