A drop-in basin sits into a cut-out in the countertop with its rim resting on the surface, so the cut edge is covered and the counter material frames the bowl. Ceramic and composite in equal measure
The material split here is even. Two basins are recorded as ceramic and two as composite, and the fifth carries no material value on its record even though composite appears in its title. Four of the five are listed in white with a polished finish, and the fifth has no colour or finish recorded. From a 560mm oval to a 1600mm double
The Oval Drop In measures 560 x 450mm, a standard single-vanity size. The Double Barra runs 1600 x 475mm and gives two washing positions in one continuous piece, which suits a shared main bathroom. Between them sits a small round drop-in for compact ensuites. Depths are not quoted on this page because the recorded height figures and the product titles do not always agree, so confirm every dimension on the product page before a countertop is cut.
Drop-in, under-counter and countertop are not the same
These three mounting types get used loosely, including in some titles here. A drop-in basin drops into the cut-out from above and its rim covers the cut edge. An under-counter basin, also called underslung, is fixed beneath the counter, so the counter edge is what you see. A countertop basin sits on an uncut surface entirely. One basin here carries both underslung and semi drop in its own title, so check the mounting method on the product page, not the name.
