Solo Basin & Bath Taps
Solo basin and bath taps
Fourteen Solo taps sit in this collection, drawn from five tapware families: Classico, Magnetite, Amber, Quartz and Coral. Five are basin taps, seven are bath or shower mixers and two are under-tile stop taps. Prices start at R439.40 for the Coral Basin Pillar Tap 15mm and reach R2,511.78 for the Magnetite Bath Mixer C/W Handshower, with the middle of the collection sitting near R998.91. Which family suits the room is the deciding question, so the sections below set out what each one covers.
Magnetite, the black family
Magnetite accounts for four products and is the only family here recorded as black. It covers the Basin Mixer Short Body Black, the Bath Mixer C/W Handshower Black, the Bath/Shower U/Tile Mixer Black and a second under-tile mixer supplied with a diverter. Because it spans a basin and a bath or shower in one colour, it suits a room you want to match rather than mix. Prices run from R1,246.81 to R2,511.78, the highest in the collection.
Quartz and Amber
Quartz is a two-product family and both items are bath and shower fittings: the Bath Mixer C/W Handshower and the Bath/Shower U/Tile Mixer. There is no Quartz basin tap, so a Quartz bath needs its basin mixer from elsewhere. Amber is broader at three products and covers both jobs, with the Amber Basin Mixer alongside a bath mixer and an under-tile bath and shower mixer. Quartz is the only family here with chrome recorded against it; Amber carries no colour value, so check the photographs.
Classico and Coral
Classico is the largest family here at four products and the only one with stop taps, listed as Stoptap U/T 15mm FxF and Stoptap U/T 15mm CxC, which differ in their connections. For basins it offers the Basin Mixer Cast Spout and the Basin Pillar Tap 15mm. Coral contributes one item, the Coral Basin Pillar Tap 15mm at R439.40, the least expensive tap on the page and a sensible pick for a guest cloakroom.
Each product page lists range, price and recorded colour, so treat those as the reference. If you are specifying a full bathroom, the wider Solo sanitaryware range takes in countertop basins and toilets, and the Solo kitchen mixers carry the same families through to the kitchen.
