Six pivot doors sit in the Solo range, priced from R4,204.84 to R6,760.70. Two carry black frames: the Sicily with smoked glass and the square-profile Sierra, both 900 x 900 x 1850mm. Two are Alpine models at 880 x 880 x 1850mm, one in bright chrome and one in white epoxy. The remaining two adjust across a 900 to 1100mm opening at 1850mm high, one chrome and one white with clear glass.
How a pivot door opens, and when it suits the room
A pivot door turns on a fixed point rather than running along a track, so the leaf swings clear of the opening when you use it. That gives a wide, unobstructed way in, but the door needs room to move. Before choosing one, stand at the shower opening and look at what sits in the arc of the swing: a basin, a towel rail or the bathroom door itself will all get in the way. Measure the free floor space in front of the opening and compare it with the door width on the product page.
Where a slider or bi-fold works better
If the floor in front of the shower is tight, a pivot door is the wrong choice. The wider Solo shower door range includes tri-slider and bi-fold models that open within their own footprint, plus corner-entry and quarter-round enclosures for difficult corners. Corner enclosures and door-only models
The square-footprint models are pictured as complete corner enclosures: a pivot door across the front with a glazed return panel down the side. The two adjustable models are pictured differently, as a flat assembly of door and fixed inline panel with no return, the shape that suits a recess between two walls.
