Duravit Baths

This is the full Duravit bathing range at Bella Bathrooms, covering freestanding, back to wall and built-in tubs on one page. Lengths run from 1500 x 750 mm up to 1900 x 900 mm, enough to cover a compact guest bathroom and a large main en suite from one maker. Ranges here include Starck, D-Code, D-Neo, Duravit No. 1, Happy D.2, Luv, DuraSquare and Cape Cod, alongside the DuraToro, DuraVato, DuraSenja, Eclipse DuraFoga and Trento DuraKanto tubs. Bath mixers sit under Duravit taps.

Freestanding, Back to Wall or Built-In

A freestanding tub is treated as furniture. It stands clear of the walls and takes a floor standing mixer or a wall mounted spout, so the plumbing is set out before the screed goes down. A built-in tub drops into a tiled or clad surround and hides its pipework, the cheaper and more forgiving choice in a renovation. Back to wall sits between the two: the DuraSenja reads as freestanding on three sides while its fourth side and its plumbing go against the wall.

Sanitary Acrylic and DuraSolid

Duravit builds baths in two materials. Sanitary acrylic is the more common, and Duravit describes it as coloured through, non-porous, abrasion resistant and perceived as pleasantly warm even at low room temperatures. The colour does not shift over the years and it wipes down with a soft cloth and a mild detergent. The matt tubs, Luv among them, use DuraSolid, Duravit's cast mineral material, also coloured through, which allows a seamless shape and a silky matt surface.

What the Installation Also Needs

A built-in Duravit bath is not a complete installation on its own. Duravit specifies a base frame or tray support underneath it plus a tub anchor to tie it back to the wall, and many built-in models are offered with matching cladding if you would rather not tile. Several freestanding tubs here are listed as supplied with an overflow and a chrome push open waste, so read the title before adding a waste set.

The wider Duravit range covers the rest of the room, and the Starck, D-Code and D-Neo pages match the bath to the basin and the pan. If the shower is being done too, Duravit showers holds the trays, heads and mixers.

Frequently Asked Questions

What sizes do Duravit baths come in?
The tubs on this page run from 1500 x 750 mm at the smallest through the common 1600, 1700 and 1800 mm lengths up to 1900 x 900 mm. Widths sit between 700 and 900 mm. Measure the opening between finished walls rather than the tiles you plan to remove, and check the door swing and the access route before you commit to anything over 1800 mm.
What are Duravit baths made of?
Two materials. Most are sanitary acrylic, which Duravit describes as coloured right through, non-porous, abrasion resistant and warm to the touch even in a cold room. The matt models, such as Luv, are made in DuraSolid, a cast mineral material that allows a seamless shape and a silky matt finish. Both are coloured through, so the surface is not a coating that can wear off.
What is the difference between a freestanding, back to wall and built-in Duravit bath?
A freestanding tub stands clear of every wall and needs its plumbing brought up through the floor or off a wall spout. A built-in tub is set into a tiled or clad surround, which hides the pipework and costs less to install. A back to wall tub, like the DuraSenja here, is shaped like a freestanding bath but pushes up against one wall so the waste and supply stay concealed.
Do I need a support frame for a Duravit built-in bath?
Yes. Duravit specifies a base frame or tray support under a built-in tub and a tub anchor to fix it to the wall, and these are ordered separately from the bath itself. Bath anchors and the support frame for the Starck built-in tubs are both stocked. If you would rather not tile the surround, ask us whether your chosen model is available with matching Duravit cladding.
Does a Duravit freestanding bath include the waste and overflow?
Several do. The DuraToro, DuraVato, DuraSenja, Eclipse DuraFoga and Trento DuraKanto tubs are all listed as supplied with an overflow and a chrome push open waste, which is stated in the product title. Others are supplied as the tub only. Read the title on the product page before ordering, because adding a waste set you did not need is the most common ordering error on baths.
