Rossco Basin & Shower Taps
Rossco's tapware belongs to the brand's WATERFLOW range, and the nine mixers gathered here cover two jobs at once: a basin tap that actually suits the basin it stands beside, and a shower mixer that keeps the wall uncluttered. Five are short basin mixers, three are tall basin mixers and one is a concealed shower mixer. Prices start at R2,734.
Matching tap height to the basin
Height is the decision that matters most on this page, and Rossco publishes it for each model. The short models stand 230mm high. The tall models run from 315mm to 340mm. That gap of roughly 100mm is the difference between a tap that clears the rim of a raised bowl comfortably and one that sits awkwardly over it. Rossco also lists a left to right and a front to back measurement for every model, so check the individual product page before you finalise a vanity layout.
Tall mixers for countertop bowls
A countertop basin sits on the surface, so the tap has to arc over the rim rather than into a recess. The three tall models answer that. Basin Mixer Tall Black and Basin Mixer Brass Body Tall both stand 340mm high, and the Cascade Basin Mixer Antique Brass stands 315mm with a noticeably deeper front to back footprint. Short mixers for recessed basins
Where the basin drops into the counter or sits beneath it, the water level is lower, and a 230mm tap gives comfortable clearance without dominating the vanity. Four of the five short models measure 230mm high, two of them black and two brass bodied. They are the sensible match for a drop-in basin or an under-counter basin, where an over-tall spout only creates splash.
Colour, material and the shower mixer
Brass is recorded as the material on five of the nine taps; the remaining four carry no material value in our catalogue, so read the product page for the model you are considering. Three are black by name, the rest brass or antique brass. The Single Lever Shower Mixer Brass is the one non-basin fitting, a concealed unit that leaves only the lever and its wall plate visible.
