Xeno2 is Geberit's design range, and unlike the brand's other bathroom series it is barely a sanitaryware line. Of the fifty-one products here, more than forty are basins, cabinets or mirrors. There is one WC, one bidet and one seat. Geberit's framing is architectonic minimalism, clear geometric lines outside against soft shapes inside, and the series holds an iF Design Award. That means a hard rectangular silhouette with a shallow, generous bowl, specified where the vanity is the focal point.
Basins Built Around a Shelf
The Xeno2 basin is defined by the narrow platform running alongside the bowl, which Geberit intends as usable shelf space rather than decoration. On the 90 cm basin you choose which side it sits and whether the tap hole goes with it. Widths run 40, 60, 90 and 120 cm as countertop and wall-mounted basins, plus 140 cm and 160 cm vanity basins for double layouts. Tap holes are centre, left, right, left and right, or none for a wall-mounted mixer, and most come without an overflow, which is what gives the bowl its unbroken rim.
Handle-Free Cabinets and Illuminated Mirrors
Cabinets are handle-free: press the front and the drawer releases, then closes itself under soft-close, so nothing interrupts the face. They come in white and scultura grey wood-textured melamine at 40, 60, 90 and 120 cm, with low cabinets, two and four-door options, a solid surface version at 1595 mm and fitted drawer inserts. Carcasses are moisture-resistant, high-compressed three-layer chipboard. Several 90 cm cabinets carry integrated LED lighting, and the mirrors run 40x90 up to 160x71 cm with LED illumination.
Choosing Xeno2 Over the Other Geberit Ranges
Xeno2 is the dearest of the Geberit bathroom series and the least complete, so it is usually specified as a vanity scheme and finished with sanitaryware from elsewhere in the brand. Do the Xeno2 mirrors need a separate light fitting?
No. The Xeno2 mirrors have LED illumination built into the mirror itself, so they replace a wall light above the basin rather than working alongside one. They come in 40x90, 60x70, 90x70, 120x70, 140x71 and 160x71 cm, and the larger sizes light both directly onto the face and indirectly onto the wall behind, which is the more flattering combination. They do need a switched supply run to the mirror position, so tell your electrician at first-fix stage.
Can I fit a Xeno2 vanity with a toilet from another Geberit range?
Yes, and most Xeno2 bathrooms are put together that way. The range only includes one WC, one bidet and one seat, so it is not designed to furnish an entire room on its own. The usual approach is a Xeno2 basin, cabinet and mirror as the vanity scheme, with a wall-hung WC, concealed cistern and flush plate chosen separately from the wider Geberit catalogue.
